Lottie Bradford Thornton, 88, of Gaston passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016.

She was born in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Bryan and Sarah Frances Cash Bradford. She was also preceded in death her husband, Reuben Perdie Thornton; a daughter, Deborah Joyce Thornton; and a son, Speedy Thornton.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Thornton of Gaston, and Bridget T. Byrum and her husband, Steve of Roanoke Rapids; two sons, Duane Thornton and his wife, Carolyn of Catlett, Virginia, and Wade Thornton and his wife, Jan of Joseph, LA; 11 grandchildren, Dodi Tolbert, Tracy Olesnevich, Lisa Floyd, Daryl Murray, Dana Thornton, Kelly Thornton, Bobbie Jo Rae, Karri Hodges, Wade Bryan Thornton, Jr., Jessica Thornton, Marcus Thornton, Amanda Thornton; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Roanoke Rapids at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 with Rev. D. A. Leonard and Rev. Terry Woodard officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 27 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
